I hope these questions help with our understanding of how terrible it is to commit a single sin. I hope we understand, from God's standpoint, the crime that is committed, as we are not what He intended and created in the beginning. In our next lessons, we will learn what to do to correct our lives. God, in the beginning, gave the world that forbidden tree, the knowledge of Good and Evil. God instilled in man good, to begin with, but learning evil, required additional good to deal with sin/evil. Along with the curse upon man, woman, and the Devil, was a promise, Gen. 3:15, and that promise was the complete solution for man and his sin.The rest of the Old Testament, are records of God's judgment against sinful men, and the love for those who chose to obey Him. But the hope of man, was in the son of woman, Jesus the Christ, for then the power of sin and the Devil was removed. We live by His direction, following His commands, and sin can be removed from our life's past, and can be removed my life, 1 John 2:1-2.
